I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
